Nutriciology – the young science of beauty and longevity

In this article we will cover such a topic as “proper nutrition” and why it is so important to emphasize it.

From my own observations working with people and writing various programs, I can note that many clients do not pay attention to their daily diet, or biorhythms of nutrition. After all, why bother with it, if “I visit a fitness club, train and in any case should lose weight or gain muscle mass”. It’s a fallacy to think so primitively, really.

I will not stop repeating and saying that the success of our transformations, body quality and health, progress in training is 75% dependent on POWER..

A little bit of history.

For many years in a row, we used to have associations that there was a nutritionist-a dietitian-who could advise you on any product, could put together a diet. The history of diets started from the time of our moms-grandmothers c 60s. When a skinny thin body was in fashion.

Diets and dietician – it was and is on the rumor.

But the development of technology and science does not stand still – there is such a concept as “nutriciologist”. Its popularity and rapid study begins c 2010-x years of our XXI century.

When many people hear the word “Nutriciology” or “Nutrition consultant, nutritionist/nutritionist” they look puzzled or ask “What is this?”.

Who on earth are they?”.

And why two nutrition experts (nutritionists and nutritionists) seem to specialize in the same field, but yet, compete with each other.

What is the difference?

Let’s put some explanation into our article.

Nutriciology- (nutrio-nutrients; nutrition; logos-study; science)to put it simply, it is a science that studies the proper balanced use of nutrients in human nutrition, properly selected by grams of individual set of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, calories, vitamins, etc., depending on the goals and state of health, taking into account the priorities in the diet, allergens.

Nutriciology reveals in more detail the influence of a particular micronutrient on a human cell or the organism as a whole than dietetics.

Dietetics is a separate branch of medicine, where certain nutritional schemes are developed for each group of people with a certain disease (for example, pyelonephritis is a chronic kidney disease, when the diet should limit the use of animal protein, or exclude completely, in order to exclude more inflammation of the organ and the release of acetone-containing flakes).

Nutritional formulations or diets

Diets designed for each “sick person” has in it an already written set of foods that can or cannot be used in their daily diet. A person goes to their primary care physician. And tells his symptoms. The doctor informs the patient what to include in the diet and what not to include. Which foods favorably affect the functioning, and which negatively affect the walls of the organs.

The main task of dietetics is to eat often, but in small portions. The amount of nutrients and calories per day is not so important.

Popular in dietetics: mono-diets, unloading diets on fruits and vegetables, blood group diets, etc.

Pluses: recovery, not irritating the body diet in the presence of disease.

Minuses: mostly not nourishing low-calorie diet, limited in nutrients, giving little energy for vital activity

The task of nutritional science lies a bit in reverse. To emphasize the quality and quantity of the nutrition composed. There is no dispute that each person will be allowed a certain mix of fruits, vegetables, grains, and protein. But will there be the same result for two different people that lose weight/want to gain?

For this reason, an individual program is made for each person.

After questionnaires (where we learn height, weight, lifestyle, bad habits, etc.) and testing (learn the body composition: fat, muscle, water, bones) break down the diet into 5-6 meals, where everything goes under the calculation, focused on a certain result.

Popular in nutritional science: standard rational diet, protein diet, low-carbohydrate diet, protein-carbohydrate alternation, keto diet, cheatmill, etc.

Pluses: maximize balanced food content, maintain human health, lose weight, gain muscle mass, recovery.

Minuses: in some cases a carbohydrate-restricted diet, affecting a person’s strength and overall energy status (for athletes only).

And the fact that many nutritionists criticize nutritionists in their incompetence, in fact do not really understand much about the tasks of this science. After all, thanks to these studies (assimilation and excretion of elements from the body cell), many people begin to understand the principles of a healthy, full, quality lifestyle, without disruptions and strong restrictions.

And yet….

It should be remembered that whatever product we use, having nutritional elements, it also has in itself an unhelpful component. Some of which are not at all undesirable for our health.

In vain people believe that in their diet in small quantities can include harmful products. This is wrong. After all, in this way we deplete our body, which slowly but surely leads to a limitation in the functioning of the entire body system. This gives a sharp failure in the form of disease, when the body is unable to resist the accumulated garbage.

Therefore, dear friends, we can help the body not only with chemical preparations from the pharmacy. It is enough just to revise the diet, do not limit yourself with vitamins, minerals, fats…and love your only body.

We conclude: knowledge in micronutrients, their amount and their impact on our functionality is very important..

For this reason, I as a personal trainer, I want to note that the young science “nutriciology” -is our assistant in working with people who are engaged in sports, want to achieve maximum results in an active lifestyle.

“You are what you eat”.

(No, you won’t become a vegetable by consuming a large degree of vegetables alone. Just, you’ll be much stronger and healthier)
